Philosophy Club will be runned in SSCX SCF on Thursday at 6:00pm EST. The first week will be some wierd on-the-spot-settings made. If their is an outcome, I will be running those zones in the waiting list again. I am also talking with some other people, and i may get a host again. More info later on, and don't forget to come.
SSCU Philosophy Club has been shutdown due to too many zones at SSX causing too much lag. In a statement on the SSX Website, half the zones will be closing. For more info, go to their site.
I will be accepting settings for people for their zones to be hosted, and I also need all other people who did send in their settings to re-email me their UserID number from the billing server that i will be using for the zone (may use iNET's, since most are going to their's now, but still give both of them incase i do or don't). The zone's info will be posted here. So far he is what i will be allowing:
Anyone can get their own map and/or settings up at anytime. As long as it isn't a copy of another person's idea(s) and settings. So no, I will not be hosting any Trench type zones that are the exact thing as iNET's. I will use one that has a different type of style (have a Bomb Trench). A different style isn't one ship changed, or the points are changed a little.
Usermade settings/maps will be up for a week at a time. If they are unpopular, or just made so one person with a flag never dies, then it maybe taken down earlier. It will be replaced with the defualt settings for the zone.
The defualt settings for the zone will be up every Wednesday, which will be the date that the usermade settings/maps will be taked down. Then the next's week settings will be put up on the day after, Thursday. These days may change due to if I will be away those days, or forget. If that does happen, then I will not put up the defualt settings, and just place the new ones right way.
The defualt settings for the zone can be any settings. It will orignaly be one I have made. Then after a while, I will put up a voting booth so the population can vote on the best settings, which will then be the defualt one. If the best one voted on is one that needs to be planned out because it requires many people, I will make the defualt one the next best voted.
The owner of the settings will get Mod powers, and ownership powers (able to change zone settings, why I need the maker's SS Name and their UserID number).
If there is more than one owner, then all of them will get Mod. One of them, picked by that group, will get the Ownership powers.
If the zone is on it's second term, it's owner(s) may recieve Smod powers. But there will be heavy restrictions with it, mostly being you are not allowed to give perm moderator powers out.
Info dealing with the way the zone will deal with settings/maps:
All settings/maps will be send to me. It must inculde the following:
The owner's email (with maybe withheld if you do not want it on the site).
Owner's SubSpace Username, and the UserID number for that name. To get your ID number, get into a zone (best if it is this zone, Philosophy Club) as your username, then type ?userid. That number is the one I need to allow you ownership powers. I can't do anything harmful to you with your ID number, so it is safe. [For right now, please inculde both UserID#'s from both iNET's and SSX's until I am sure of which billing to use. -Mine]
The map (*.lvl format) that you wish to use for it. Please, I need you to ZIP IT! I may cancel downloading the map if it isn't ziped since it will take a while to download it.)
The server.cfg file used for the zone. Please attach this file with the *.lvl file, ziped together. This will help me keep track of the zones I recieve.
And, this is optional. If you wish to have a certain news.txt file put with your zone when it is up, please attach it also, zipped. I repeat, ZIP IT! If everyone gave me like 10 server.cfg's when I checked my mail, they would override each other. You don't want that to happen.
Zone's setting/map info will be place on my site. The owner(s) name(s) and email(s) will be placed on there too. I will withhold any email if you want me to, just ask.
Zone's settings/maps will be up for one week on the zone at a time. From Thursday to the next's week Wednesday. The time a zone maybe cut short or expanded if I could not change the zone's settings/map on those dates.
After a zone has been put up, it will be listed on the Hosted zones page. This is so if anyone would like to host one of the zones put up here, or message the owner some ideas, they can if they would like to.
A zone maybe put back up at a later date if it was popular enough. This is so the setting's owner would try to get people to play, so it can be put up again later.
All zones will be added to a voting booth later on after they have had their zone hosted. The voting booth will be for to make a settings/map defualt settings. More about that high up.
I THINK that is all i need to put now. Don't forget to send in those zones soon. The earlier you send them, the earlier they are hosted. -Mine
